The great mistake of any artist, whether a musician, actor, or any public figure, is getting involved in politics. It is a mathematical stupidity, because it will not add new fans because of their ideology, but it will subtract the few fans they already have who are against the assumed ideology. The singer may even get paid for performing at an electoral rally, but losing part of a consolidated fan base is a loss that cannot be calculated. I don’t vouch for anyone, much less for parasitic politicians. I will exercise my political expression through my vote, but I consider it dishonest for a singer to influence someone to vote. Will the singer also be arrested when the politician he helped elect is caught stealing? I see a lot of prostitution in this, musicians taking political sides in exchange for opportunities, the famous cliques. I hate when I go to a show that I paid for the ticket and the unfortunate singer starts talking about politics, and if it is a show paid with public money, I am paying for it anyway, so I demand respect. If you're a singer and you want to talk about politics, then register to run for election. Don’t come demanding that I choose a side, because it will probably be the opposite side, and that will certainly lead to political persecution. So don’t involve me in politics, I don’t want your dirty money, nor your shitty prostituted opportunity. To know more about the same, listen to the song lyrics. Lyrics
Don't take my name In your dirty politics Cause I'm not for sale Neither left nor right Don't take my name To endorse your robberies Cause I'm not your partner And I never will be Don't take my fucking name To deceive the voters Cause I'm not a bitch With microphone in hand Never take my name Don't even ask me to do that Cause I'm not your kind Don't ask me to choose a side |
